Abbie Davidson, age 80, widow of John Milton Davidson, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born February 19, 1937 in Steubenville, Ky. the daughter of the late John and Lena (Chriswell) Stephens.
She married Johnny in 1956 and began building a family together shortly thereafter.
She gave birth to three beautiful daughters, and while building her family, she and Johnny built what would become their cherished home up on the hill as well.
She worked as a beautician for 55 years, and as much as she enjoyed her work, she enjoyed being a friend and confidant to her clients even more. Prior to and even after her retirement, she volunteered her time helping those in the community in times of need. She was a lifelong resident of Wayne County, Ky.
She was a terrific cook although she'd never admit it. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She was the sweetest lady you'd ever meet, beloved by her family and many friends and she'll be missed dearly.
She is survived by her three daughters Alisa Nevels (Doug) of Nicholasville, Ky., Beth Daffron (Steve) of Monticello, Ky., and Denise Rector (Terry) of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sistersDoris Tucker and Barbara Alley, both of Monticello, Ky.; six grandchildrenKristi Johnson (Preston), Lacy Marshall (Alex), Amanda Meyerrenke (Aaron), Josh Daffron (Liz Hammelrath), Jordan Nevels and Ryan Rector; and eight great-grandchildrenGrayden, Alyson, Lainey, Abby, Noah, Elijah, Ava and Annabel, along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jason Lange officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
