Ansel A. Bertram, age 85, of DeLand, passed away on June 11, 2016
at a local care center.
He was born and grew up in Wayne County, Ky.
In 1956, he moved his family to Newark, Ohio where he lived for 29
years. In 1963, he started Newark Pipeline, Inc., operating the
company for 29 years until he sold it.
In 1984, he and his wife, Joan, moved to DeLand, Fla.
He served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of DeLand,
the DeLand Country Club and was a mason.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Joan, and his second wife,
Mildred (Min), but leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters—
Pamela Bertram and her husband David Laing, Bridgitt Evans and her
husband Bruce; his sister—Cristel Work; and his beloved grandchildren—
Jay Laing, Taylor Evans, Connor Evans, Chloe Evans and Brian Evans.
