Arvin's Story

Arvin Sullivan, age 80, of Monticello, Ky. passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born March 30, 1936 in Monticello, Ky. the son of the late Frank Sullivan and Henrietta Poe Sullivan.
He married Jessie Mae Brown who survives him in death, and to this union two children were born.
He is survived by one daughter—Tammy (Paul) Bell; one son—Jamie Sullivan; four grandchildren—Jason, Ashley, Amy, and Tessie; five great-grandchildren—Chantil, Caitiy, Zaylee, Athan, and Leanna; and one great-great grandchild—Isabella and another on the way, Gabriella; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by five brothers—Oliver, Audie, Ottis, Chesley, and Frank "Junior" Sullivan; and one sister—Gladys Hollars.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mike Hollars officiating. Burial was Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the Piney Woods Mission Church Cemetery.
