Betty Sue Sidwell Piercy was born June 23, 1945 in New Castle, Ind. the daughter of the late Claude and Agnes Troxell Sidwell. She departed this life, Wednesday evening, February 1, 2017 at the
University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington reaching an age of 71
She is survived by her husband—Arvie Piercy; and four sons—Allen and wife Shirley Boils of Monticello, Troy Boils of Albany, Ronald and his wife Rhonda Boils of Fort Myers, Fla. and Eddie Piercy of Monticello.
Also surviving are her sisters—Joyce Moles of Albany, Effie Swift of Ind., Erma Clark of Fla.; brothers—Claude (Chris) Sidwell Jr., Don (Patty) Sidwell of Monticello and Jimmy Sidwell of Albany; five grandchildren—Lindsey and Brandon Boils, Josh (Megan) Asberry, Dakota Boils and Madelynne Piercy and three great-grandchildren—Allie, Hagan and LeighElla Asberry.
Preceding her in death are her sisters—Minnie Sidwell, Lucy Barnett, Anna Mae Hancock and Mary Walker; and five brothers—Gene, Mike, Calvin, Stanley and Bill Sidwell.
Funeral services were held, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Luther Dishman officiating. Burial followed in the Cartwright Cemetery in Clinton County.
