Clarence's Story

Clarence "Doc" Dobbs, age 60, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Central Baptist Hospital after a brief illness, with his family at his side.
He was born on December 24, 1956 to the late Isaac Milton and Eva Faye Denny Dobbs. He was employed at Dal-R's, where he was known as "Beaver" and he enjoyed everyone he encountered. His favorite times in life were spent with his family, fishing, and with his dogs Grunt and Scrappy. He is loved and will be greatly missed by all.
He leaves behind two sons—Cody and Tyler Dobbs of Nancy, Ky.; a daughter—Brandi-Jill (Dobbs) Whitaker of Somerset; four brothers—Jack (and Linda) Dobbs of Monticello, Sammy Dobbs of Somerset, Johnny (and Barbara) Dobbs of Somerset, Carl (and Elizabeth) Dobbs of Nancy; a sister—Shirley (and David) Howell of Somerset; special friends—Ray and Jill Smith; four nephews—Steve (and Tiffany) Dobbs, Jack K. Dobbs (and Theresa Haynes), Robert Dobbs, and John M. Dobbs; seven nieces—Vycki Dykes (and Kevin Sutton), Connie Masten, Debbie (and Greg) Foster, Robyn (and Eddie) Brumley, Wannetta (and Scott) Foster, Cassie Dobbs (and Duane Bertram), and Jodean Dobbs; along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Sunday, March 12, 2017 after 5 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Vaught officiating. Burial was in the Stevenson Cemetery in Nancy.
The family requests expressions be made to the Gideon Bible Memorial Fund or to Saline Christian Academy.
