Coleen Pauline's Story
Coleen "Pauline" Hicks, age 75, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Medical Center of Albany.
She was born September 21, 1941 in Monticello, Ky. the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Hicks) Dishman.
She was united in marriage to William "Corba" Hicks on August 10, 1957. August of this year they would have been married 60 years.
She is survived by her husbandBro. Corba Hicks; two sonsBill
(Louise) Hicks and Bob (Carol) Hicks; two daughtersLisa (Danny)
Davis and Linda (Randy) Norris; 10 grandchildrenJessica Thrasher,
Laura Taylor, Karen Bell, Gayla Epperson, Tony Hicks, Ashley Davis, Dustin Davis, B. J. Norris, Nathan Sears and Jordan Sears; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothersBob Dishman and Bill Dishman; three sistersJewellene Brown, Evelyn Dishman, and Allene Catron.
She was preceded in death by one grandchildNick Hicks; and five brothersHarold, Willard, Darrell, Leonard Dishman, and Ray Dean Dishman.
She always had a big garden and preserved everything she could as long as her health allowed. Everyone was welcomed into their home as if they were family.
She was saved in Indianapolis and lived her life faithfully loving the Lord. She went with her husband as he led revivals, visited nursing homes and hospitals. She loved time spent with her children and grandchildren, whether it was hunting ginseng in the woods or treasures in the mill yard.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tony Bolin officiating. Burial was in the Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
