Oct. 27, 1939—Feb. 1, 2016 Donna Bell Pitts, age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2016 at her home in Colorado Springs, Colo. after a long battle with cancer. She was born on October 27, 1939 in Monticello, Ky. the daughter of the late Dewitt and Anna (Gregory) Bell. She and her husband—Omar Pitts shared 56 wonderful years of marriage together. He survives. She was a longtime active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Shreveport, La. and loved working with the Prayer Quilt Ministry. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, square dancing, camping and fishing at Lake O’ the Pines. She is survived by her son—Eric Pitts and his wife Kim; grandson— Tyler Pitts; and granddaughter—Kaitlyn Pitts all of Colorado Springs; siblings—Beulah Fudge of Eaton, Ohio, Dewitt Bell of Erie, Pa., Nova Nation of Barbara Disbro of New Castle, Ind., Mara Ann Kendall of Lewisville, Ind. and Ellen Suttle of Milton, Ind.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother—Manuel and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 in the funeral home chapel.
