Earl Junior Dishman, age 93, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Ky.
He was born November 23, 1924 in Bowling Green, Ky. the son of the late Thomas Edison and Mae (Dugger) Dishman.
He is survived by his wifeBetty Dishman; three childrenGary
Dishman, Barbara Gossett and James "Jim" Dishman; seven
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughterConnie Troxell; two brothersEllis Dishman and Ernest Dishman; and one sisterJean Colter.
He served his country faithfully in the Navy during World War II.
He was employed for 41 years (1948-1989) at the Monticello Electric Plant Board where he retired in May 1989.
Funeral services were held November 30, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the
funeral home chapel with Bro. Joe Tipton officiating. Burial was in
the Elk Spring Cemetery.
Full military honors were performed by our local DAV Chapter 105.
Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
