Edna Lucille (Lou) Shoopman, age 75, was born March 1, 1941. She passed from this life on February 13, 2017 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in McCreary County, Ky. the first child of the late Arnold Clayton Shoopman and Geneva Shoopman.
She is survived by five brothers—Roger Shoopman and his wife Lois of Revelo, Ky., James Roy Shoopman and his wife Glenda of Berea, Ky., Robbie Shoopman and his wife Debbie of Stearns, Ky., Jerry Shoopman and wife Carolene of Stearns, Ky. and Paul Shoopman of Loudon, Tenn.; four sisters—DeLois Jones and husband Glen, Lena Jones and husband Bronnie of Monticello, Faye Jones and Lonnie of Stearns, Ky. and Kathy Jones and Howard of Winfield, Tenn.
She is preceded in death by a brother—Archie Shoopman.
She was saved in 1953 at Hickory Knob Baptist Church where she
remained a member.
She also attended Fall Creek Baptist Church for 10 years and Meadow Creek Baptist Church for 15 years.
She loved the Lord and going to church more than anything in her life. She enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels in her back yard.
She loved watching WLJC and gospel singing.
Funeral services were held in the funeral home chapel on February 16, 2017 with Bro. Howard Slagle and Bro. Rufus Hughes officiating.
Burial was in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery.
She was loved by many and will be missed very much.
