Emma Jean Richardson, age 85, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Hanceville Nursing Home in Hanceville, Ala.
She was born June 22, 1931 in Monticello, Ky. the daughter of the late Shellie and Wonzie (Herman) Pruett.
She is survived by two daughter—Debra Baker and Ida Dishman (Dan Dishman); one stepson—Glen Richardson (Charlene); three grandchildren—Aaron Looney (Stacie), Allison Dalton (Matthew), and Amy New (Steve); six great-grandchildren—Shauna Griffin (Josh), Kyle Dalton (Brittany), Kada Dalton, Ryan New, Faith New, and Logan Selby; and one sister—Wanda Lair; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her first husband—Lee McClellan; her second husband—Wilburn Richardson; and one sister—Allene Richardson.
She was a faithful member of the Faith United Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and taking bus tours.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Daniel Richardson officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: American Alzheimer's Association.
