Floyd's Story

Floyd Jones was born August 9, 1935 in Monticello, Ky. to the late Russell Jones and Alice Davis Jones and passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Ind. reaching the age of 81 years.
On February 26, 1958 he united in marriage to Violet Morrow Jones, and to this union two daughters survive—Rhonda Corlette of
Indianapolis and Lori Yazel (Nathan) of Rushville, Ind.
He is also survived by one sister—Donna Jean Rhule of Monticello Ky.; and four grandchildren—Casey Corlette, Tiffany Maresma (Mario), Zachary Yazel, and Hunter Yazel.
Also surviving is one great-grandchild—Thomas Maresma.
He was preceded in death by his brothers—Fred, Cecil, and Leonard Jones; and sisters—Edith Tuggle and Imogene Marcum.
He was a proud Marine serving from 1955-1961.
He retired from Allisons Transmission in August of 1991 after 31 years.
He enjoyed time with family and hunting in his retirement.
He was a baptized believer of the Christian Faith.
Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in the Washington Park East Cemetery with military rites.
