Garry Lewis Baker, age 41, of Burnside, Ky., passed from this life on Saturday, February 24, 2018.
He was born on March 16, 1976 in Lexington, Ky., the son of Gary V. Baker of Burnside and Kathy Croucher Baker of Daytona Beach, Fla. who survives.
He was a mechanist and worked at TTAI as a team leader.
He liked to go four-wheeling, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
He enjoyed spending time with his family but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his kids.
He was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Southwestern High School Class of 1994.
He is survived by his sonsNoah Baker and Paul Baker, both of Burnside; daughterEmily Baker of Burnside; his fiancéJodi Whitson of Burnside; sisterAmanda (Allen) Lewis of Wayne County; step-sons
Clayton Sexton and Luke Sexton, both of Burnside; auntsEvelyn Collingsworth of Dayton Beach, Fla., Wilma (Dudley) Newby of Versailles, Ky., Gail Soles of S.C. and Karla Britton of Daytona Beach, Fla.; unclesBobby Gene (Regina) Baker of Somerset, Danny (Brenda) Croucher of London, Ky. and Keith (Delane) Hobson of Daytona Beach, Fla.; niecesRiley Lewis, Kaitlyn Holloway, Martina Cummings, Morgan Coffey and Megan Coffey; nephewsMason Lewis and Chris Holloway.
He is also survived by numerous cousins and several close friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparentsRobert and Ollie Baker; and his maternal grandparentsHomer and Betty Hobson; and a step-daughterAbby Whitson.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the funeral home with Bro. Perry Dobbs officiating.
Honorary pallbearers wereTravis Smith, Ronnie Newby, Mark Lay, Little Travis Smith, Noah Baker, Paul Baker, Jamie Wallace, Rodney Head and Shawn Duncil.
