John Phillip Dunagan was born November 21, 1941 and passed away on September 14, 2017 at the age of 75.
He was preceded in death by his parentsHulon and Beatrice (Hammond) Dunagan; a sisterRuth Jewel Barnette; and a brotherRobert Hulon Dunagan.
He is survived by one brotherDavid Dunagan of Parkers Lake, Ky.; also a brotherCurtis Dunagan; and a sisterLinda Sue Coffey of Monticello, Ky.; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was a lifelong farmer until he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
He left his farm in the Betsy Community and lived with relatives until the past five years where he resided at the Cumberland Nursing and Rehab at Somerset, Ky.
He loved his tractors!
He accepted Christ later in life and attended Zion Baptist Church.
He was a faithful member until his health prevented him from going.
He enjoyed talking with everyone that visited him.
He might not agree with you, but he enjoyed the visits!
Funeral services were held Monday, September 18, 2017 at 1 p.m. in
the funeral home chapel with Bro. Denzil Jones officiating.
Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
