Minnie (Koger) Jones, age 101, passed away comfortably at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Ky. the evening of April 25, 2017.
She resided in Monticello, Ky. until seven years ago when she moved to a senior care facility in Louisville.
She was the third youngest child of Elijah and Polly Koger of
Monticello, Ky. and outlived all her brothers and sisters.
She was married to the late W. Howard Jones and is survived by her two sonsH. Milton (Joan) Jones of Tyler, Texas and Thomas R. Jones of Louisville, Ky.
She is also survived by five grandchildrenBen Jones, Emily Jones Angilella, Lisa Jones, Brent Jones, and Karen Jones Morrison; and six great-grandchildrenWill and Luke Jones, Collin and Clare Gwin, and Sophia and Dominic Angilella.
She was best known for selling tickets and working at the only town theater in the 1940's and 1950's.
In her later years she was an active member of the Women's Club and did a variety of volunteer work.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monticello.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 1, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with burial in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
