March 1, 1939—April 4, 2016 Oma Lee Dishman Hancock, age 77, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at Wayne County Hospital. She was born March 1, 1939 in Monticello, Ky. the daughter of the late Freeman and Nellie (Chriswell) Dishman. She is survived by her husband—Carlos Hancock; two sons—Allan “Crook” Dishman and John Dishman; four daughters—Jane Hicks, Lucinda “Lou” Hicks, Debbie Simpson and Geneva Jones; five step-daughters— Edith Wallen (Randy), Linda Howard, Wanda Waters, Ruby Shaffer and Connie Stone; 15 grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren and 24 step-great-grandchildren; and six step-great- great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers—Jessie Dishman, Harold “Harlan” Dishman, Sterlie Dishman and Ernest Dishman; and two sisters— Patsy King and Glennis Bertram. She was preceded in death by her first husband—Trammel Dishman; one son—Phillip Dishman; three brothers—Ralph, Carl and Irvin Dishman; and one sister—Mae Harmon. Funeral services were held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Danny Lawless and Bro. Ross Parmley officiating.  Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery. Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
