OSBAN's Story

June 27, 1933—March 11, 2016 Osban Ray Carpenter, son of the late Swanson and Dorothy passed away March 11, 2016 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by three brothers—Elroy, Jack and Howard. He leaves behind his wife—Wanda (Jones) Carpenter;  two daughters— Norma Jean (Steve) Blouser and Donna Jane (Mark) Livesay; two grandsons—Raymond Road and Charles (Jo) Livesay; two great- granddaughters—Brooklyn and Tiffany Livesay; along with a host of family and friends to mourn his passing. He moved to Monticello in 2011 from Bellville, Ohio having lived in Ohio most of his life. He accepted the Lord in 1956 and became a member of First Baptist Church of Belleville where he was a faithful member. He was an Army Veteran and served in Korea. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Kenneth Dick officiating. Military honors were performed by our local DAV Chapter 105. Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
