Skyla Gail Wallen, age 50, of Nancy Ky., gained her wings and went home to be with the Lord at her residence around her family and
friends on Tuesday afternoon March 6, 2018, following an extended illness.
She was born May 25, 1967 in Monticello, Ky.
She is the daughter of Coy and Fay Bridgeman Wallen who survives.
She is also survived by her special companion Jeff Denny; she was the caretaker of grandsons(J Bird) Jaylyn Hampton and Daniel Moralis.
Also surviving are older brotherKenneth Gary Wallen; and younger brotherMarty Lynn Wallen; grandmotherMartha Bridgman Lewis; stepdaughterAmanda Denny; auntsLaurie Bridgeman, Judy Guffey, and
Barbara Upchurch all of Monticello, Ky. as well as Faye Piercy of Louisville, Ky.
She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins along with a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by grandparentsFloyd and Pauline Wallen, Buck Bridgeman, Clyde Lewis; unclesDonnie Bridgeman and Bill Upchurch of Monticello.
She enjoyed being around family and friends, outdoors, and being with her animals. She was a very outgoing person to help anyone, and while working at Lifeline enjoyed taking care of her patients.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mike Smedley and Bro. Gary Yoakam
officiating. Burial was in the Lonely Cemetery.
